Hello guys,
Today is not a day in June but lemme just post about pride month and recent movement for BLM.
It was such a meaningful month for all of us.
Firstly, did you know JUNE is a PRODE MOMTH? And if you know, do you know why it’s on JUNE?
For the first question, the answer is; Pride moth means the promotion of the self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people as a social group. Pride, as opposed to shame and social stigma, is the predominant outlook that bolsters most LGBT rights movements. (According to the wiki)
For the second question, all of you, please go watch a Netflix movie, “The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson”. It’s not a long boring documentary. It’s a short, well constructed story with facts and mysteries.
Secondly, we all know there was a big movement for demanding change especially about discrimination for black people. All problems and crimes for black people are not an acceptable. We all need to stand up and use out privileges for equality to this world. It’s not seasonal issue. We need to fix this right now.
Many people including myself, don’t think we prejudice someone, but maybe, there is a possibility that we treat somebody unequally. Please please please think subjective and what we can do.
I think there are so many ways to be active and be ally.
For example, educating yourself. There’s a lot of dramas, movies and articles. Use your Netflix and SNS account wisely.
“13th” would be a great start to learn.
But you know, if you really pay attention to these problems, especially BLM prostitution, go sigh up for campaign you want to support.
We cannot be perfect, but we can move on to the next step and grow, don’t you think?
